#Create is our theme for October. It brought my thoughts to how we collectively demonstrate our personal creativity every day.
We create a “buzz” about causes near to our hearts. And you can join us by creating awareness October 3 at A Moveable Feast’s Paisley Partini in support of breast cancer survivors and research. Or share your creative spirit in spreading joy just as the McIntosh County Shouters have been doing for almost 40 years, celebrating their Gullah Geechee history and culture for over six generations. (page 16)
Creativeness gives us warming endorphins when we work with, or help do for others, and goosebumps as we bravely face our humanity and continue to thrive as Reneé Sutton in our profile feature does each day. (page 8) And, being creative and inventive could land you a dreamy career! Check out page 10 to meet our Lashes & Beauty Total Takeover candidate, Mary Frances Allen.
Writing a collaborative book with your BFFs, a.k.a. the Scarlet Sisters, was a true creative outlet for six New York Times bestselling authors. My page 12 book review outlines their page-turning writings on women’s roles during the French Revolution. And, please join me Oct 7 to hear these six unendingly talented ladies speak at the Island Casino on St. Simons at the Literary Guild event. What a treat!
Stay true to your Creative spark and Enjoy the read,
