January 2020

Wow, its 2020! If you thought our inspiring local women in 2019 features were amazing, just wait until you see what we’re covering this year in Paisley Magazine. We’ve got a feeling it’s going to be quite a year!
The City of Hope and Rise Risley Brunswick Mural project (sponsored by Glynn Visual Arts and Coastal Georgia Community Action Authority) continues to expand their downtown Brunswick murals. This one “Wings” by Catherine Durrette is both interactive and fun. It’s located on the side of the Subway building near the Newcastle intersection of the Ritz Theatre. Be sure to stop by and “strike a pose.” Learn more at www.glynnvisualarts.com.
#Motivation is our January theme. Read all about Caley Neely, a 27-year-old stroke survivor turned motivational speaker, and Annie Lucille Greene, whose artworks highlight her life in the 1940s and 50s segregated south. And, meet Ellen Sweem who was super-thrilled with her anti-aging day of beauty.
Happy New Year and Enjoy the Read,
Meredith M. Deal
